Snow Valley Mountain Resort - California Snowboarding Sledding Skiing Mini Snowmobiles
Merit Badge Program
Snow Valley Mountain Resort is proud to offer the "Winter Merit Badge" program.

We believe this program is the best way to introduce Scouts to the fun of Winter Sports, not just to earn their Merit Badge, but also to increase their awareness and appreciation of the local mountain environment.
This program is offered to Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, etc. Snow Valley will be happy to make minor adjustments to the program to accommodate other Scouting organizations. It is our goal to ensure as many children as possible are introduced to the sport of skiing or snowboarding.

We sincerely hope you will join us this season for the Winter Merit Badge Program. We promise your experience with us will be fun, as well as educational.
Program Requirements and Availability
Due to the popularity of this program, we strongly urge you to choose the "Early Season,""Late Season," or "Midweek" periods for your visit to get the best pricing, avoid the crowds, and ensure a quality experience. Snow Valley offers the program on weekends and midweek, spaces are limited and some restrictions apply. Consider taking advantage of teacher conference days to book a midweek date.

The prices listed on this page are available to SCOUTS ONLY. A minimum group size of 10 is required to qualify for the Winter Merit Badge Program. Any combination of Scouts or Leaders may be used to reach the 10 person minimum. Planning Your Event:
Contact the Snow Valley Group Sales Department as soon as you have selected a date for your visit. We need a minimum of one (1) weeks advance notice, however, we suggest you book earlier whenever possible. All dates are booked on a first come, first served basis and dates are limited.

When you have your final count, we will need a good estimate of how many Scouts and Leaders will be attending. Please also let us know how many Scouts will be skiing or snowboarding and if rental will be needed as well.

Changes in your group size and/or services must be made within 48 hours prior to your event. At that time all details will be considered final.

Snow Valley requires a 25% non-refundable deposit to hold your group reservations. Once a deposit is received, your rental forms will be mailed. All un-used rentals forms must be returned or $15 will be charged per form.
On the Morning of Your Event:
Prior to departure check the weather and road conditions, and remember to always carry snow chains in your vehicle. Weather on the mountain can change rapidly.

Refunds will not be given due to weather conditions, upon or after your arrival.

Follow the Scout motto and be prepared for anything! Always dress warm and in layers, especially hands, feet and head.

Don't forget to bring Merit Badge cards for our Merit Badge Counselor to sign. Snow Valley does not carry "blue cards."

Upon arrival please check in at the Group Sales office. To avoid congestion in the office, please have your group members wait outside the office area until you have completed "check-in." Plan on at least 15-20 minutes to process your payment and receive your tickets and rental forms. Please allow a little extra time for last minute changes.

If you have paid a deposit and have your rental forms, please have one of your chaperones proceed to the rental department with your Scouts.

Payment will be due in full upon your arrival. We accept credit cards, troop checks, cashier's check, money order or cash as payment. Please make checks payable to: Snow Valley LLC.
Once you have completed check-in and have your rental equipment, gather on the deck for your safety meeting.

After the safety meeting, our Merit Badge Counselor will direct the Scouts to their group lessons and location.

Upon completion of the group lesson, the Scouts will be released to the Troop Leader. The group is then free to spend the balance of the day skiing or snowboarding on their own.

The Troop leader should arrange a time to meet with the Merit Badge Counselor to retrieve the signed blue merit badge cards. Merit "Blue Cards" can be picked up in the Ski School building no later than 2:30 p.m.
